◢ We Are Stars || Nine and Rose
Rose was simply.. perfect. The funny man couldn’t really express his feelings towards her properly because after losing so many people towards the years, it was even difficult to the Doctor to open himself completely, specially using words, even though, her presence surely made everything special. She /was/ special.
“I am not human, remember? I don’t have the same needs as you do, though I fancy a good shower inside of the TARDIS sometimes. “Smiled. “Why? Are my clothes ugly or oldfashioned? People use leather jackets since the 40th’s! You should have see me back then” Grinned.
“And well..” He started to movement the ship’s controls. “I want to visit a Friend, I wonder if he is still around, a complete surprise. Surprises are fantastic, don’t you think?” Smiled again as he turned the buttons on and then came the common turbulence that lasted for a couple of minutes.
“There we are! Planet Vulcan!”
When the Doctor mentioned the 40s, Rose had a sudden image of him in a broad-shouldered zoot suit and quickly put a hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter. Now that was something she was going to have to see one day, and with a little coercion she was more than certain she could achieve it. Until then, though…
“You actually have friends?” she asked in surprise, not intending to be rude. However, the meaning of her words quickly hit her and she fumbled over herself, apologizing. ”Well not that you wouldn’t, I just…you’re always runnin’ around, you never seem t’stop long enough to make friends…”
Shut up already, Rose. Not helping!
At least her inner voice sounded like less of an awkward duck than she did at the moment, and she just let the Doctor land in peace, grabbing the console for support. Her eagerness quickly returned to her though as the great unknown lay just beyond the TARDIS doors and she couldn’t help darting over, pulling them open to look at the new planet.
“Vulcan?” she asked, wrinkling her nose in confusion. ”Isn’t that like…a volcano? There aren’t volcanoes here, are there?”
